Middle School Curriculum

Curriculum Highlights and Academic Growth

The Middle School at Penn Christian Academy is a place where students are equipped with skills for the future and attain character for a lifetime.

Honors Courses

Our honors track is a faster and more in-depth level of study, and it typically helps to guide students toward increasingly advanced programs.

Advanced Placement

AP courses are college-level classes that culminate with the AP exam. Students who perform well on an AP exam may earn college credit for that course.

PCA provides opportunities for students in grades six through eight to grow in their personal relationships with Christ, to understand Christian principles, and to discover Biblical truths. With Jesus Christ as the cornerstone, PCA believes that there is a Biblical basis for morality, respect, discipline, responsibility, and accountability.

High quality curricula are integrated with the Bible to help students learn to look at the world through God’s Word. All PCA middle school students participate in both the arts and the sciences including an exciting array of courses and special classes: Bible, Mathematics, Language Arts, Science, History, Spanish, Music, Art, Woodworking, Creative Writing, Performing Arts, Speech, Physical Education, and Computer Science. Students also participate in weekly chapel, service projects, and sports.

Balanced with a Christian foundation, the middle school promotes a cooperative and flexible learning environment. Off campus activities including outdoor education, retreats, and field trips stimulate students’ interests and challenge them to think independently, creatively, and critically. Each student’s education is enhanced by special areas of learning and extracurricular activities.
