STUDENT APPLICATION PROCESS

 GUIDELINES FOR ADMISSIONS  
These guidelines have been established for admission and continued enrollment in the Academy (Grades 1-8) of Penn Christian Academy. 
  • There must be a credible profession of faith in Jesus Christ on the part of at least one parent– accompanied by membership in and regular attendance at an evangelical church. 
  • There must be full agreement with the Statement of Faith and compliance with the Parents as Partners Agreement and the Academy’s Constitution and Bylaws. 
  • Each applicant must give evidence of potential academic success in the Academy’s program based on past records and the required entrance test. Also, there should be evidence of emotional stability, a satisfactory behavior record, and reasonable social behavior. 
  • There should be a commitment on the part of the parents to support the work of the Academy through volunteer service and/or financial gifts as well as regular prayer.

2. SCHEDULE AN IN-SCHOOL APPOINTMENT OR A VIRTUAL TOUR
THE TOUR IS DESIGNED TO HELP APPLICANT FAMILIES LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR PROGRAM, PHILOSOPHY, AND COMMUNITY. PARENTS ARE INTRODUCED TO OUR CAMPUS AND CONNECT WITH THE FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATORS. 
3. COMPLETE AN INTERVIEW
PARENT INTERVIEWS ARE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR APPLICANT FAMILIES TO MEET WITH US, SHARE MORE ABOUT THEIR FAMILY, AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS. WE LOOK FORWARD TO GETTING TO KNOW APPLICANT CHILDREN DURING KINDERGARTEN AND ACADEMY SCREENINGS! 
KINDERGARTEN VISIT:
KINDERGARTEN APPLICANTS ARE INVITED TO VISIT THE KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOM, FOR A MORNING OR FULL DAY DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. 
KINDERGARTEN TESTING
THERE IS A PLACEMENT EVALUATION THAT WILL BE ADMINISTERED DURING THEIR VISIT
GRADES 1ST – 12TH VISIT:
ALL APPLICANTS TO GRADES 1-12 ARE RECOMMENDED TO VISIT FOR ONE HALF DAY OR ONE FULL DAY
STUDENT INTERVIEW:
THERE IS AN EVALUATION THAT WILL BE ADMINISTERED DURING THEIR VISIT
4. NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
THE DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS WILL INFORM THE PARENTS OF THE CHILD’S ADMISSION STATUS AND GRADE PLACEMENT. 
5. ENROLLMENT AND PAYMENT
THE FACTS TUITION PAYMENT PORTAL, REQUIRED FORMS, AND TUITION NOTICES MUST BE SUBMITTED ACCORDING TO THE DEADLINES PROVIDED IN ORDER TO SECURE YOUR CHILD’S ENROLLMENT. 
TUITION ASSISTANCE 
PARENTS INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT MAKING PENN CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AFFORDABLE, SHOULD INQUIRE ABOUT OUR TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS, AND FINANCIAL AID HAVE DIFFERENT PARAMETERS AND THE RESOURCES CAN VARY FROM YEAR TO YEAR. IN ALL CASES, A FULL ENROLLMENT APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED BY ANY FAMILY PRIOR TO THE DECISION ON ANY TUITION ASSISTANCE. AN APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL AID CAN BE OBTAINED BY LOGGING ONTO FACTS.COM.
